News Release: New SOAR Executive Director Named
December 10, 2012

SOAR Career Solutions Board of Directors hired Emily Serrano Rivera as its new Executive Director. She begins her duties on January 2, 2013.

SOAR Career Solutions is a non-profit organization providing creative, comprehensive job seeking and re-entry services to Duluth and St. Louis County residents.

Serrano Rivera, a native of South Dakota, brings over 11 years of experience working in the non-profit sector, most recently serving as the Community Impact Director at the United Way of Greater Duluth. She is a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and is pursuing a Masters of Arts in English at the same institution.

She succeeds Rebecca Ellenson, who is stepping down as Executive Director to return to pastoral ministry.
