Our office hours are 8am-4:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 8am-8pm on Tuesdays, and 8am-12pm on Fridays.

This one is tough, we won’t lie. But we believe in you! It’s all about knowing what you want and what’s going to fulfill you and we can help you figure that out. Between our Mind over Matters workshop and our one-to-one case management, we can really hone in and find some options to help you get a job you love.

Oh wow, we get this question a lot! We are NOT a temp agency. We do not have jobs ready for you here in-house, but we know where the jobs are and who’s hiring. We can give you the support, tools and preparation needed to find and get an awesome job elsewhere!

The employment world and job trends change a lot- maybe it’s been several years or even decades since you last job searched or put resumes out into the world. Maybe your mindset about applying to jobs has changed, maybe the way cover letters need to be written has changed, or maybe you need some extra support. No matter what the reason is, we’re here for all of them.

Maybe. But it doesn’t have to. We have discussed the purpose and details of background checks with employers and we use that knowledge to help you craft a positive response to any negative instances from your past. This response can reduce the impact of your past and assist employers to see the value YOU can contribute to their business.

We use multiple assessments to help you learn about your individual learning and communication style, skills and interests. Once you know yourself, you will know what type of employment will suit you best.

Sure. SOAR meets individuals where they are on their career path and helps them over the barriers keeping them from moving forward. If all you need is a resume review or interview prep then that is what we will work on with you.

Probably. Many of our clients need transportation (or other) assistance and we are able to provide that under certain conditions. Check with your case manager for more details.

Yes! If you’re looking to switch things up we can absolutely help you explore different employment options. We have a variety of job skills trainings to consider or if none of those are what you’re looking for you can meet with a Career Specialist and work one-to-one with them to help find a new career that better suits your needs.

YES! And we’d love to. For this, we recommend setting up an intake appointment with one of our Career Specialists and go from there. With your Career Specialist you can come up with an employment plan designed just for you and your personal employment and/or educational goals.

You bet we do! In fact, we have several of them. We have two small computer labs that we love oh so much, and here’s the one thing about them - you have to be a SOAR client in order to use them.

Everything and nothing. We both offer job related services and have connections with local resources and employers to help with your employment plan. SOAR partners with CareerForce on many projects and consider them a valuable partner in the field of employment. We believe the biggest difference between the two organizations is our size. Clients have reported liking the smaller size of the SOAR offices and the personalized service from the staff when visiting. We think you will like it too, so stop by for a visit!
